What 0 means
Zero is the number the system was built without. Pythagorean numerology reduces every number to a digit from 1 to 9, and 0 contributes nothing to a sum, so it is never a core number and never a life path. What it has instead is a symbolic reading, and the tradition is fairly consistent about it: 0 is the circle, wholeness, infinity, the potential before anything has been chosen, and a blank page.
The practical reading is amplification. When 0 stands beside a digit, the tradition reads that digit louder and reads the 0 as a pause or a space. 10 is a 1 with room around it, 1010 is a beginning with a decision inside it, 2020 is partnership twice with a breath between.
In tarot the card numbered 0 is the Fool, the figure at the very start of the sequence with everything ahead and nothing yet decided. There is no classical planet for 0. Some modern writers assign Pluto, which is a recent addition.
0 in the common sightings
Three sightings bring people to 0. 1010 is read as a beginning paired with a choice, the two 1s separated by zeros that the tradition reads as open space. 0 and the arithmetic
Because 0 adds nothing, a number with zeros in it reduces exactly as the number without them: 1010 → 1 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 2, the same as 11 → 2. The difference is that 11 is kept as a master number and 1010 is not, because the master number has to appear as a result, not as a sum of separated digits. 0 in love, work and money
Zero has no life path, so it has no temperament of its own. The readings follow the digit it accompanies. In love, 0 is read as a clean slate: nothing decided, a relationship with its terms still open.
At work, it is read as a pause before a new start rather than a verdict on the old one. With money, the tradition reads 0 as potential and warns against the drift of waiting for a sign. The advice is to decide, because a blank page does not fill itself.
